Presented at Volkswagen Arena, Istanbul on 7 and 8 March 2025, Ballet for Life is a landmark production that brings together Maurice Béjart’s choreography, the music of Queen and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and costume designs by Gianni Versace.

Performed by Béjart Ballet Lausanne, the work was presented in Türkiye for the first time on the 55th anniversary of Queen’s formation. Dedicated to youth, life, memory, and hope, Ballet for Life combines the emotional force of dance with the musical worlds of Queen and Mozart, creating a powerful encounter between choreography, music, and visual design.

Originally premiered in January 1997 at Théâtre de Chaillot in Paris, Ballet for Life has since been performed around the world by Béjart Ballet Lausanne. The production remains one of the company’s most emblematic works, carrying Maurice Béjart’s distinctive choreographic language into a vibrant dialogue with popular music, classical composition, and contemporary stage imagery.
